What types of events do you support?

Dana Brownlee is available for a wide range of programs, events, and non-traditional engagements including: customized on-site professional development training, meeting facilitation support, team building retreat facilitation, and team development coaching and consulting.

What are your fees?

Training and consulting fees will vary depending on several factors (e.g. event location, number of attendees, presentation duration, etc.). Please click here to request a quote and we will gladly provide pricing. Fees do not include travel expenses from Atlanta, Georgia which are charged on an actual basis.


How far in advance should I start planning an event?

Optimally, events are planned 3-6 months in advance; however, we’re happy to check availability for events before or after that timeframe. To begin planning for your special event, please click here.


How do you handle cancellations?

In the event that your needs change and you’re not able to honor your booked date, we waive cancellation charges if we receive written cancellation confirmation at least ten business days prior to the event and the event is rebooked with us for a mutually agreeable alternate date within 90 calendar days of the initially agreed upon date. If the cancellation is made within ten business days of the scheduled event, a 50% cancellation fee will apply. We are pleased to boast that to date we have never needed to cancel a contracted event! In the highly unlikely event that an emergency does arise and we are not able to honor the agreed upon date, we will reschedule the event to a mutually agreeable date within 90 days of the initially agreed upon date and reduce fees by 50%.


Can I see sample training video clips before making my decision?

Of course! We constantly add new videos to Resource Library. We also offer a variety of meeting facilitation videos and will gladly provide a preview copy upon request.


I’ve never booked a trainer before. Where do I begin?

We know booking a trainer for the first time can be an overwhelming experience. Please start the process by completing our booking form to provide us a bit of information about your needs. We will contact you shortly to discuss your upcoming event and continue to work closely with you to identify the best program to meet your needs. We have found that we can best support clients by better understanding the client audience/environment and customizing a presentation or program to best support it. In preparation for this process, please consider the following questions:

  • Why is this event being held?
  • Who is the audience?
  • What do we want the attendees to know, think, or feel after this event?
  • What expectations will they bring to the event?
  • What special circumstances, issues, or challenges are we facing right now?
  • How will you define success for this event?


Is it possible to record the presentation?

In most cases recordings are allowed with advance notice. We ask however to receive a copy of the recording within 30 days of the event.

 


How can I order instructional DVDs?

DVDs can be purchased on our website; however, if you’re interested in purchasing 10 or more, please contact us for discount opportunities!

 

Once we decide to book a training event, how do we proceed?

Three easy next steps…

The Call… Once you’ve completed the booking form we will contact you by email to schedule a call us to discuss your objectives. We will then walk you through the process of customizing your event. You may also complete the to provide background information on your event.

The Confirmation… Once the event details are agreed upon, we will send to you a Confirmation Sheet. The Confirmation Sheet will include specific details such as the event sponsor, date, fee, location and any other relevant information. Signing and faxing the Confirmation Sheet back to Professionalism Matters verifies the terms that will be included in the contract.

The Contract… Professionalism Matters will issue the contract for the engagement, publicity materials, and invoices. At that point, we are off and running.

Our service does not stop after the trainer is confirmed. We are always available to answer questions, offer ideas or just talk about your event and its progress. As the date of the event approaches, we will contact you to make the final preparations.
