Most entrepreneurs start a business with the goal of having more autonomy, flexibility, and ability to really enjoy life. If that’s the goal, then why do so many entrepreneurs become an absolute slave to their business and oftentimes feel that they have less flexibility and time than they did when they had a traditional job? Too many entrepreneurs are so tempted to build an empire not realizing that an empire can turn into a prison really quickly if you’re not careful. The “lazy entrepreneur” philosophy isn’t about being lazy at all. Instead, it’s about using specific approaches that allow the entrepreneur to stay true to those initial goals. It’s not about skipping the long hours early on, but designing a business where you can put them in early on then step back and work less and enjoy life more for years to come.
